Best Wax?

Next Gen2 is a sealant. I put on next Gen2 and make sure not drive the next morning, so the sealant cures. Then I put on a Carnuba Wax. 'Purple Blaze' is really GREAT for shine, but I also use Mequirs Pro Carnuba Waxes for car shows. Then I just quick wax, once a month to keep the shine, mostly the Hood, Roof and Trunk. But, I think you have too many choices already.

It's a sealant wax. It holds up a long time, and is a good foundation, but doesn't POP like a carnuba wax. But, a carnuba wax doesn't last as long. Also you can apply it more often, with a lot less effort. It does help to extend the Next Gen2.

I am 110% unimpressed with the NXT "tech wax" It doesn't last at all. I use Meguiar's Ultimate compound first then Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba plus. I put those down with my Porter Cable machine. Last I use Shining Monkey Seal & Protect. I put that on with a regular orbital buffer. The Porter has a variable speed so it makes good use of the Ultimate compound. I have gotten some serious scratches out with the Compound and the Porter on high speed.

If you are still looking, Collinite 845 is also an amazing wax for the price if you want something on the cheaper side. Only $15 for a 16 oz bottle and leaves an amazing finish when applied correctly. Whether applied by hand or DA make sure it is applied THIN. And I mean very thin or it can become hard to remove.

They just came out with an Ice paste also that's more like a wax but it still doesn't leave white residue. I must say I'm very impressed with it, I use the detailer and synthetic probably 1-2 times a month but the wax/paste takes longer so I will only be doing that about every 6 months. If you got the time a wax or paste leaves a batter shine than a spray or liquid.
