Not big on this area, but is there a specific kind of sand you use to sandblast? I know a finer sand will mean less material taken off, and a coarser sand takes more etc. Just wondering if there is a specific sand that is used, or if I can just grab sand from wherever and use it.

Also are there any alternate medias that one could use?

 

Silica Sand is best

Also don't you beach sand, has salt in it.


Also you probably already know but when you use Silica do it outdoors and with a mask.
