Default Stripes & wax

I just got new matte black rocker stripes put on and am wondering about washing them. The wash I use has carnauba wax in it. Would this harm my stripes? I'm not sure who manufactured them (3M?) but I got them from americanmuscle. I'm not talking about spray wax or paste wax (no, no, no) but just what's in the carwash soap. It's just that I've heard that carnauba wax can harm some stripes.

the soap shouldn't do any harm to the stripes...but when you do get to the waxing part, you should tape off the stripes

Yes, I do understand that but I'm concerned with the carnauba wax that's in the soap. After the rain this week, she's a very dirty blond.

MustangInTexas,

We use the highest quality vinyls available on the market (3M). You should be okay! Just make sure you give the adhesive time to cure before washing. I'm assuming it has been on there for at least 2 or 3 days?

Shane, thanks for the response. Yes, I ended up having a decal guy put them on Wednesday and he said to leave it out in the sun for 2 days before washing. I didn't wash until late Sunday (boy was she dirty). It was just that I had read somewhere that Carnauba wax wasn't good for some vinyl and couldn't find who made yours. While I wasn't applying directly it is in the wash soap. I just don't want to ruin them, they REALLY make the car pop.
