Default Paint and car seat problems ::

Need help. My ex husband put Wipe New on the paint of my black 05 🔫 and I cannot get it off!!!!!! Little by little it comes off but I don't want to wash it 50 times. And I also have red American Classic seats. The person before me didn't really take care of the seats. Any advice? Tried a buffer on the paint but hasn't helped. I want to cry!!!!!

Wipe new is a trim restorer that is very potent. It bonds with the plastic for long lasting resto look. Not sure what to do if it's on the paint.

Pony made it a little clearer, but I still don't know what's a wipe new.

Years ago, I got suckered into buying this paint restorer (GD infomercials) which was basically a bottle of lacquer and a sponge. I ended up using lacquer thinner to take this crap off. Try a bit of lacquer thinner or paint thinner (in an inconspicuous spot obviously). I have absolutely no idea what wipe new is made of BTW.

Just throwing an idea at you

I know I'm late to the game, but DO NOT use laquer thinner! Much like acetone, it will strip the entire finish as well as much of the color. Unfortunately, if you want to keep your leather seats in "like new" condition, there are no shortcuts. Use a leather cleaner, restorer, and or conditioner/moisturizer. And no, not lotion, but made for leather!!

I clean cars all the time and one of my favorate ways to clean stains on seats and marks on paint i use a good brake clean like crc. Smalls bad but works real good on most surfaces
