i have a black gt, what do you think of a carbon fiber hood???, or what hoods do you peoples think look best? lets see some pics if possible or good links.

 

I think that the 96 Cobra hoods look suttle and sweet for 94-98. And the new cobra hoods look great for 99+ cars. But the best aftermarket hood in my opinon is the multi-level cowl. Nothing too tall, but it just looks great, and they're many different variations. I'm not a big fan of the boxy looking hoods on the 94-98s, and the bilevel cowl cobra type r hoods look great on 94-98s. For the older foxies and newer stangs, the boxy look is a little better. Cervinis makes some nice hoods as well. Carbon fiber has never meshed well with stangs.

 

Believe it or not a carbon fiber hood doen't weigh that much less then a fiber glass hood. Espically for the high price. To me it's just not worth it. I just got a Cobra RR SVO hood.I think it looks great. But look in any Mustang mag. there are a million companies with a thousand different hoods.

man the carbon fiber is for ricers and it is not worth the money i would get a fiberglass hood like the others said b/c not that much diff if you have the HP u have the HP. But i like the regular 2.5inch hoods with some nice 17'-18' wheels and the car will look sharp u don't need all that rice s**t like the billet grille and stuff man

 

i knew id get ricer bitched as soon as i clicked post. its all good. i think my ricer friends have just gotten to me by always telling me to get a carbon fiber hood, upon consideration, ive pretty much ixnayed the idea of a carbon fiber hood. the reason i really considered it was cuase i saw a used one on ebay going for a decent price. id like to see some links to pics if you can</P>

If you wanted a carbonfiber hood for looks.. Eh.. Not on a Mustang. But if you wanted it for weight, then you can always paint it! <IMG src=smileys/smiley20.gif border="0"></P>

i dont see why you shouldnt get one, just be prepared to prove something at every red light you stop at.
