Default Stripe Discoloration

I bought my 2014 Oxford White mustang 3 years ago. It had gloss black vinyl aftermarket stripes installed through the dealer. Yesterday, we decided to take them off because they have cracked, pitted, and look horrible. After taking them off with a hair dryer, removing the adhesive and taking a clay bar to the areas, the car appears to be "stained" an off yellow color.

I was expecting there to be a color difference, but I was expecting the area under where the stripe was to be a brighter white. Has anyone else experienced this?

Many White Pigments will yellow in the absence of light so give it a few days in the Sunlight to see if it goes away!!

I bought an Industrial White from Sherwin-Williams that matches my boat paint and it does this but the yellowing fades after Sunlight exposure!!

Good Luck!!
