Default Honeycomb Cleaning

Does any one know a simple way to clean the honeycombs on the 2001-2004 mustangs? I typically clean my car twice a week with one day dedicated to up to 6 hrs of detailing. The only part that I have trouble with is the honeycombs. The side honeycombs will take up to an hour with a toothpick and q-tips alone. Looking for any help in this mater....

The best way to clean it is, get rid of it. Thats what im doing with mine. They have replacements for the side scoops at www.blueoval.com and the only replacement I can find for the hoodscoop is at www.mwspeedshop.com (they also have ones for the sidescoops as well) Thats all I can find for now but im still searching.

I would say soak it down with some soapy water in a spray bottle then rinse thoroughly. You could use a thin rag or small brush after.

I get a lot of drive-thru car wax buildup on the honeycomb and wish I knew a way to remove it.
you probably hate me for saying "drive thru carwash" if you're spending 6 hours on detailing!
Man I admire that!

Usually "touchless" -- but it still sprays that wax stuff on it, which I'm sure builds up [:'(]
