well usually if a company offers sponsorship, you can either have a DD, street, strip or show car and they will usually sponsor you. so people in your area will see/hear their products and may consider buying them. its like free advertisement for car parts
jc: so you dont like the way decals look? dont put em on your car then... as far as ADDING horsepower, from what i know you dont lose any either. there are plenty off things that are put on for appearence rather than HP. a spoiler has little to no effect under 100mph so their useless. a sub box may be heavy, your gaining 40 pounds, to me its worth the loss. if your main concern is hp strip your interior out and remove all your paint/primer, your car has 50 pounds of paint on it which is what 1 hp for every 40lbs? so appearence sometimes overweighs performance. but its all up to the person.
