Hello

My speedo didnt work so I swaped the cable out...easy to install in the transmission and it seemed to fit nicly into the dash.

BUT

my speedo still dont work.

Now I wanted to take the dash board end out and check that the cable is rotating, but I cant get the frikken thing out.
The old cable came loose without much wiggeling or force, but the new 1 is stuck.

Now I have of course forgotten exactly how the plastic fitting was made so I cant remember if Im to press,twist,lift or whatever.

Basically I need a little help to figure out how to get it out.

I have a 69 fastback

Speedo cable has a hexnut and must be turned with I believe a 3/4" wrench. Unfortunately, it is a pain to get at I need to replace mine also.

pretty sure mine is a clip on plastic type of thing, will try to take a pic.

might be easyer to see
