Hi everybody, greetings from Belgium.
I have a 1969 mustang 302 v8 5l and the car is fully renewed
the engine turns beautifull and makes a wonderfull powersound, but when I put the car in drive the engine stops turning.
I can't find the problem so is there anyone ho can help me. plzzzzzzzzzz
also the engine gets hot

Yer on it 69! That problem description has a vary familiar "ring" to it!

 

If it's not, you two should get together, sounds like you've got the same problem.

Just in case, look at other thread from Harald. There is some pretty good info.

 

ihad this same problem with my 69,351..i dont know whats new on ur engine but i replaced the carb to an edlebrock and vola the problem was cured..i also replaced the original disr., with an hei msd and now its sooooo smoooth...a larger oversized radiator ussally is the best fix for over heatin ,but check the thermistat incase its stuck..
