Default '72 Mach 1: Good or Bad buy

A private owner is selling a royal blue '72 Mach 1 w/ 351 cleveland for $2,500. The body is in perfect shape with the exception of a couple dings and scratches. I was wanting you Mustang enthusiasts opinions on this one, lol. Should I buy it or let it go?

Why would you even ask that question! For $2,500.00 what do you think!

the guy is either a moron, or theres something wrong with it, like it needs a complete restor or something. and its not a 72 coupe with mach 1 stickers on it or something right???

eitherway, if its the fastback style, for $2500 that is an absolute steal. Go there right now, not in a 10 minutes, now, and buy it if theres nothing wrong with it that is...or nothing you cant, or dont want to deal with.

my neighbor is selling his mach 1 for 15K right now...so i think you can get an idea of how good of a deal that is....of course we dont really know the exact specs and condition of the car. $2500 bucks still seems pretty suspect...

I'd take that just for the engine if it runs strong

Any pics?

I'm 16 and I don't have a job. So i can't buy it. Then my dad is a hardcore Chevy man so he says there is no way that he will let a Ford sit in his driveway, let alone buy it for me. I made this thread in the first place to try to convince him. I think it might be working, but I'll let you guys know.

I'm soooo tired of reading about this Ford vs Chevy ****! When are these people going to wake up! I love all old cars, Ford, Chevy, Mopar, Mercury just to name a few!
Tell your father to bite his lip and just buy the dam thing, its still a classic car!

Ditto!

Ya also gotta wonder if it's a real deal.

It they were not going to get it, you would think they would post the info where someone else here could check it out.
