Default '66: Fuel gauge not working...

The fuel gauge is not working. It was working fine until the body restoration, but hasn't worked since. Any ideas how to fix?

Thanks, Tom.

I'm not sure what the body restoration had to do with it, but maybe the fuel sending unit wire got broken. Crawl under there and inspect the wire running from your sending unit on the front of the tank. If that is OK, then ground the wire and see if your gauge pegs. If it does, then the sending unit itself is probably bad. If not, then suspect the gauge.
