Default Prothane, Polyurethane, Thermoplastic, rubber

Hi all,
These are just a few choices of the material to replace old worn rubber on my front end. NPD say they do not recommend Prothane for the strut rods. They recommend rubber but strut rod rubber is 52.95 in their catalog. Can that be right? In Virginia Mustang's catalog they offer black thermo plastic rubber for 16.95 Also I understand some of the new materials squeeeeeak. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Walt

Anything but rubber, everywhere in my book. The only one that does not sqeek is, you guessed it....rubber.

WD-40 will keep it from squeaking.
