Key for a 68 mustang covertible
I have a very important question....
I lost my key to my mustang last winter and I wanted to sell it to a friend of mine today....Ive tried calling locksmith's all around....and they say they cant replace the ignition so I cant get a new ignition...where can I get a key for my car? I didnt think it would be this hard.... If someone know what I can do pls help....I need to sell my car..

But, he still has to have a key to remove the cylinder. There is a thread one here that has links to how to remove your lock cylinder. It should be on the first page here. Good luck drilling
Yeah, but he still needs a key to that cylinder to remove it, and if he had a key, he wouldn't have to remove it. Catch 22 here. If it were mine, I would fire up my DeWalt 18 volt drill and replace the cylinder with a generic one if I didn't have time to orde a Mustang cylinder. I may get my hands spanked here, but what other alternative is there without the services of a locksmith? OK, yeah there is the lock picking thing. Allen posted some great articles on that subject. Good luck with it, no matter what route you take.

he can't remove it without turning it to the ACC. GET DRILLING. or show your friend how to hotwire.
