Broken ignition cylinder
I own a 88 5.0 Stang and someone tried to still it, this person must have been a rookie cuz my ignition cylinder was pretty much destroyed and unsuccesfully engaged, this individual also shattered the passenger window. The cast metal where the ignition switch is inserted has a piece broken off. The cylinder still securely attached to the steering column and the key still fits in the key hole but I cannot turn the key. I think that if I can remove the cylinder I can still put in a new one even though it has a piece broken off. The question is, how do you remove the cylinder? Can a lock smith remove the cylinder? Please help. Thanks. Mario B.
