To the moderator(s)
On any automotive forum such as this, it should be an absolute requirement that users register a sig that is attached to every post, which lists (at minimum):
Year of vehicle
Model
and perhaps any other pertinent details.
When threads and responses talk about problems and solutions, it is worthless without vehicle data.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.

hey man, good morning. i can kinda see where your coming from, but members with more than one car or a fully built ride would need half a page just for the sig. being an older site, we also have a lot of members whom have great tech knowledge, but no longer a mustang.
I don't mean a full-blown photo sig. Just the details of year, model, transmission... stuff like that, so that when someone reports a problem or a solution we know if it might apply to our Mustangs too.
Often I see something like "are you getting a clunk from your transmission?" with no explanation of year, model, auto or manual tranny.
If people have more than one Mustang they are posting about, just a couple of extra details about the car would help.
For example, just the basic info, like in my "sig".

ah, intelligent posting would be the key to this problem rather than oversized sigs. i agree with you a hundred percent, ever notice most of the first replies are
what year
what tranny
a little more info please[&:]

Well Ken, that's what posting/responding and PM'ing is all about. That's the key to the Forums, getting involved. Like the mods said, if it were a requirement, then those who know how to help, but, currently don't have a MUSTANG would feel like 2nd class members.
It's kinda like my buddy/mechanic, he recommended 5W30 to me, not 5W20, and explained that 5W20 was for CAFE standards, and provided less engine protection. I trusted his word, and he's not a MUSTANG owner. I hope you understand a little better now.
Enjoy the FORUMS.
