Have a 2001 GT that I bought used in 2004. It has a 5speed manual that makes a grindingsound between 3rd and 4th gear if I shift a little quicker than normal. No noise or grinding sensation at all when shifting normally. There is no problem shifting between any other gears. Is there an adjustment for such a problem; a syncronizer going bad; or something else that yoy can recommend.

 

Sounds like a synchro but I not quite sure, the scuky thing is that you are going to have to pay a lot just to have the problem diagnosed.

 

I had the same problem with my 2001 shifting from 4th to 5th and it ended up being the 5th gear shift synchro.
