how come
I'm no expert, but I would guess that the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Mustangs can have either a V6 or a V8. A 5.0 by definition can't have a 351 or a 4 cylinder.
Having a 351 sub-section in the 5.0 section would be like having a 1969 sub-section in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 section. It just doesn't work that way.
I hope that helps.

correct. the 5.0L section is for just that...for 5.0L mustangs. we also have a 351 section under special stangs, as well as a 4 cylinder section.

the 5.0 section is specific to the engine...hence the name. there is no 4 cylinder 5.0L engine that I know of...so it wouldnt make sense.
the S197 section has those subsections because it is the fastest growing section, and the moderators in that section felt that they would help to make the section more organized. also, that section applies to an entire generation of mustangs. the 3V formation of the 4.6 only applies, as does the 4.0L V6. also, the suspension and appearance items are unique to those models. however, the 5.0L engine was in multiple generations, as is the 4.6, so suspension and appearance subsections would not match up across the generations. when someone posts a suspension question in the S197 section, people know what it applies to, but if someone posts a suspension question in the 5.0L section, they have to state what year it applies to...which is why there is no suspension specific subsection in there.
