Default need horsepower bad!

okay can anyone give me some good advice? i bought a 2005 mustang gt back in july.. stock 300 hp of course.. not enough for me.. i threw on a k and n filter and flow master so far. i bought a hypertech power tuner thats supposed to add 57 hp but it didnt work.. it could not read my computer.. hypertech hooked up a laptop and everything and couldnt figure out why it wouldnt tune my car. so now that i cant do that what all can i do on a cheaper budget before i move on to the expensive mods? i would like to make it as close to 400 hp as i can before i step into a super or turbo charger. i also wanna keep it street legal of course. here in memphis everyone races at a place called rivergate.. i wanna be able to smoke most cars!

Personally, I would get a set of good AFR heads and maybe some cams. That would def. put you in the upper 300's for horsepower. It would also make your Mustang sound awesome.

Hi Lee, welcome to Mustang Forums!

I'm sorry I can't help you out with your questions, but you would probably get a much better response if you posted in the 2005 - 2008 Mustang section instead of in the Forum Issues and Feedback section.

Good luck!
