Default 2005 stang forum?

with the recent changes i have noticed that the 2005 mustang forums, is now changed to 2005 4.6, this doesnt bother me since i dont have a 05, but shouldnt it just be 2005 + stang, without the 4.6, i know we are grouping to engines for the sections now but what about the 2005 4.0 guys? dont have a section? just something to think about

Fully agreed. Amanda is trying to make a 15 chapter book into an 8 chapter book. PM Amanda with your concerns. It's the only way to make our forums 'right'.

Right? I guess "Right" is a forum that is so spread out nobody can even see half of the new posts each day unless they spend half of their time awake surfing the forums.

It's better this way. People get better, more specific answers to their questions, and don't have to worry about getting a 5.0L response to a 4.6L car etc.

I still don't understand your gripe. Why do you want to have to sift thru 20 forums to look at everything people have posted? Why do you want someone with a 5.0L asking 4.6L and 351 guys about their engine? It simply doesnt make since.

If I had my way we would do away with the general tech and several other sections, but at least it is better than before. I only have a few minutes each day to chec the forum, and I think most people are the same way. I simply don't have the time to search thru 70 forums to try and answer questions or learn something.

My point exactly. If you want better, more specific answers to questions, you need more specific and appropriate places to post or look for info. If you are in an appropriate section, you won't 5.0L responses to a 4.6 question. Your logic is backwards.

I, and others, want to sift through categories appropriate for a specific question we are interested in. What I and others don't want is to have to search a generalized section trying to find a specific post on, say, suspension.

I don't. -That's why we need appropriate categories for each topic, and not one broad area for ALL questions. Imagine if you were a MF noob and you wanted a specific answer to a question on a 4.6 mustang's suspension. You would have to scour the already way too generalized 4.6 section for an answer. You would have to click through pages of posts trying to find one that suits your needs. If there was the appropriate category for it, it would be a piece of cake. I encourage all to PM Amanda who feel the same way I do. She is trying to make a 15 chapter book into an 8 chapter book.

well you can stop crying about it now birdieman, cause there's a subforum for each engine

by the way, if someone is too dense to use the search feature, then they deserve to scour through all the generalized sections they want.
