clutch adjustment

I have a 92 mustang gt hatch just got it dont really know how to adjust the cable clutch i dont want to mess it up?

Pull the pedal all the way up, then push it to the floor. It's self adjusting, That's it.

is that all you have to do because i have the same problem with my 94. it is all the way to the top. i thought it was being worn out but i have tried to burn the clutch an it wont burn.
