C4 Transmission
I'm a new member as of today.
I gave my 1967 Mustang, 289 HI Perf (117K miles)to my daughter on her 16th in 1981. Since she is in the military and in the war zone, I have stored her Mustang in my garage for several years. Before I put it in storage, the C4 Transmission worked fine and only had about 30K on a hard pack overhaul. I got it out last week togive it a test run. The transmission is not shifting into 3rd and is rough from 1st to 2nd. There is no slippage. I changed the filter and added 6 quarts of fresh fluid. I also added some TransX. No change in performance. I'd like to have it running when she returns from the war zone.
Any suggestions?

RE: C4 Transmission
sounds like you have something clogged somwere, check the module on the trans , check the linkage, and you should have a vacuum line going to the trans if im not mistaking, so make sure its not clogged/dry rotted from sitting in the garage,
