You may view it as "free", but when I spend my time composing a useful, helpful post and I push the Preview or OK buttons it tells me I'm not authorized or I'm forbidden from doing so on this server, I figure it has cost me something.

(EDIT: Shrugging and clicking the X)
Select All, Ctrl + C

What will that do?

If what you typed does not send, then you just re-open the reply box again and hit ctrl +v and you don't have to type your whole post out again. I have copied every post I have ever made over the past few years in case it doesn't happen to send.

Thank you.

Trying to post this message (must be something wrong with the message; causes the same problem here, so I deleted it)

It's not that it doesn't send; it opens a window that says:

ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access /postpro.asp on this ser

Alt Ctrl C has no effect in that window, and if I close it, the message is still there. Clicking either the OK or Preview buttons opens the "Forbidden" window again.

can you try making the same posts in a new thread, and see if the problem persists?

I did, and it did. As I say, must be something wrong with the post. I'd try it again and again, deleting a line at a time, but I don't want to take up bandwidth or time.

I'll just try one paragraph here a time or two:

The camera is a small P&S with video mode, in a GPS suction-cup bracket stuck to the rear of the trunk lid, about 4 inches to the right of center, and braced on the bumper with shock-absorbing padding (not enough, as you can hear). I did one over-the-shoulder with it stuck just aft of the convertible top (down), but the wind noise was so pronounced it ruined the whole thing. I'll try it again with some kind of wind shield.

(This one previewed OK; now I'll try it in the intended thread.)

what im wondering, is if the threads made during a certain period are still affected by the "bugs"...

The paragraph-by-paragraph postings in the intended thread worked just fine. Now I'll try the "QUOTE UNQUOTE" section here:

ORIGINAL: tmsmith

And I'm curious, how did you have the camera hooked up?

ORIGINAL: AMoRT

I have an automatic and I want to get this kit, but would it have bad drone? I've heard a lot of exhausts have bad drone on autos
Got it on my Auto, and no drone since the first day.

Got about 5000+ miles on them now. Sounding better and better.
Well, it previewed just fine.

Now the whole post here again (didn't fly; now with the internal quote removed)( didn't fly; now with the external quote removed) (didn't fly; now with both quotes removed) (still didn't fly; now with "camera" paragraphs and both quotes removed) (previewed just fine; must be something in the camera paragraph or its boundaries) (camera paragraph reinserted, "drone" gone) (didn't fly; boundary parts of "camera" removed) (didn't fly; first half of the camera para removed) (didn't fly; first half restored, second half gone) (previewed just fine; first half removed, second half restored, second half truncated) (previewed fine; second half restored, different truncation) (previewed fine; restored second half) (didn't fly [Forbidden] ; remove first line of the second half) (preview OK; restore first line, remove second line) :

I narrowed it down to something about this string:

convert (

that's c o n v e r t as a single word, followed by a left parenthesis after at least one space;
If I delete all but what you see of the "Suddenly" paragraph (formerly) below, the message previews ok.

"Suddenly I'm forbidden "
