I was wondering if there are a limit on the overall/cumulitive size of the files we upload. When I was uploading a couple of sigs for people, there is a green bar at the top of the upload screen and when I upload a pic, part of the bar turns red; it looks like there is a 100kb limit (my red bar is at about 84 kb). I know it is better to use something like photobucket, but I haven't made an account with any of those sites yet. I'm not complaining; just curious. Thanks

 

I'd like to know the answer to this too, particularly since photobucket is defined like so:
and is filtered out on my work computer.

It's been much friendlier to upload thumbnails as required and not have to worry about removing some in order to put a new one up (possibly within the same thread, if 100k is a total limit).

In my case, no.

My image uploads are more like digital pictures, scans, graphs, etc., that are specifically related to the topic under discussion rather than to my car in particular. Most of them would be completely meaningless to anybody who wandered into the gallery section from anywhere but the thread(s) in question.

Edit - such as this thumbnail that I've used a couple of times to illustrate something about cornering/tires/autocross/etc. (that leaves me now with ony 6k in which to fit something tiny). I tried to use the uploaded address of a file that I had already uploaded, and was not allowed to do so (invalid something or other).
