I've seen other VBulletin boards where you must have 15+ Posts in order to post a picture or hyperlink a website. Can we have that turned on? I think it would deter spammers and trolls.

 

yea i just saw a site that did that, but I didn't understand why they didn't want you to post a pic until 15 posts. Hyperlinks I can see why, but why pics?

 

Well I like to hang out in the Off Topic section(one of the more busy sections of MF) and it's not uncommon to see a troll or previously banned user who has created a new account flood the OT section with graphic images.

 

ahh ok. Point taken. I agree we should do something similar then.

 

For example, there was a troll a while back that posted gross gay ****/? **** pictures throughout the forums.

That might slow them down, although I'm sure they would still post 15 BS posts, then get rolling, but at least they got to work for it at that point.

 

Yup. Exactly. Even some might not put in the effort of those 15 posts and just give up. After all they just want to create fast and swift chaos...Not post 15 times about the difference in gas mileage of a 3.73 vs. 4.10 or how to do a P.I. swap.
