I signed up several days ago and I am already loving this forum. I cannot PM or see pictures however. Can someone please change my settings? I looked for an email but was not sucsessful.

 

Sign In > User CP > Settings & Options > Edit Options

There you will find the options to enable PM, Email, and Show Images.

I think you have to have a certain amount of "time in grade" or posts. Something like 1 month or 50 posts to PM.
I believe they have had issues with marketeers signing up and abusing the system.

there is a 50 post/1 month 'break-in' period before certain permissions are allowed to prevent spammers from wreaking havoc (not saying you are one, it's just a general rule for everyone)
