Stupid check engine light!!
I've got a 2014 Roush charged stang with a code p219a that states it is fuel/ air ratio issues but it keeps throwing my check engine light! Any help on this issue will be much appreciated.
BANK 1 A:F Ratio, not both banks. It means that one or more cylinders in bank 1
are off. The air fuel imbalance monitor is designed to detect differences in the air fuel
ratio between cylinders per engine bank.
Possible causes:
Leaking or contaminated fuel injectors
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
Leaking evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve
Exhaust or intake air system leaks
Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system
Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system is leaking or the valve is stuck open
Ignition system
Incorrectly seated engine oil dipstick, tube or oil fill cap
Yes, it will keep illuminating the CEL. Any emissions related failures will light the CEL,
that is required by Federal law.
