steering wheel not returning to center

i have a 1966 mustang convertible-just had the steering box changed-short shaft-v8-steering wheel would not return to center-still does not return to center-any suggestions thanks

Perhaps you have broken the trapezoid shape in the steering gears. The longitudinal inclination of the rotary axis (Custer) may also be impaired
