Cool Mobile Dark Mode *Beta* is Here!

hello everybody,

We are super excited to launch a new way to enjoy the MustangForums community from your mobile devices!

It's still a very early beta but beginning today if you're logged in and visiting the Community from your mobile device, you can now choose a dark mode theme in addition to the standard 'bright' theme we've always had 😎

We are looking to you for feedback about the experience. Being that you are one of the very first communities we're trying this out on, we don't expect to have gotten it perfect so we appreciate any feedback you're able to provide.

We also recognize that some of you would like to see a dark mode on desktop, we do too! Our first goal is to perfect this mobile experience and our hope is to release dark mode for all browsers once the summer is over. Thank you all in advance for your understanding.

Please log in from your mobile, turn the dark mode on using the Hamburger menu and let us know your feedback in this thread.

cheers,
robb

Oh haha omg

the Garage Talk iOS/iPad app
& i use Firefox for macOS desktop

(& not to complain, BUT this design is older than i am...
like, these emojis (sorry, "smileys" are actually from before i was born )

as long as it works, that's fine, but is dark mode going to work at all when everything else is old?

GarageTalk has been deprecated for 4 years, it doesn't have anything new.

iPad has a desktop class browser, so dark mode is not available there, nor is it on desktop yet.

Ok.
Is there another iOS app version for this?
or going to be?
all those other auto groups on Garage Talk are mostly dead or just spam anyways,
this is the only really active auto site

GarageTalk had 130 communities in it, they are all still active, but we abandoned the app years and years ago. We will never issue another app, we have continued to focus on and update our mobile theme constantly. The mobile theme is available on mobile browsers, i encourage you to try it out. You can always save MF to your homepage and then it will open like an app does without any of the usual Safari buttons etc.
