I am the owner of a 2017 Mustang GT Premium which I purchased new in April 2017. It’s a beautiful car and was very proud to be its owner until I started having paint problems that are not related to any accidents or previous body damage. Earlier this year, I noticed that my hood had developed multiple blisters at the front edges, possibly due to contamination when it was painted at the factory. On top of that, my driver’s side rear quarter panel developed another blister that is very significant, about 5” x 3”. This has broken and the paint has peeled off down to the primer. The peeling paint is now happening to the driver’s side door jamb. I contacted Ford regarding these issues and they don’t want to help me out with any of these because my factory warranty has expired. I am very disappointed with the Ford Motor Company for not wanting to help and using the expiration of my warranty as an excuse. These paint issues are, in my opinion, quality control issues at the factory and nothing else. I would have a very hard time recommending a Ford product to my friends and family as I would not want them to experience what I am going through right now. Is anyone else out there having the same problems? Please let me know and if so, have you been able to resolve? Would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.
