I ran across this recipie on a turbo dodge forum, wondering if anyone has ever tried it

100 octane fuel:

In a 5 gallon gas container:

3 gallons 93 premium octane
1 gallon of Xylene (paint store)
2-4 oz of Marvel Mystery Oil

Makes a little over 4 gallons of it.

Anyone ever give it a shot? Or got a motor that's almost shot and willing to try it?

 

my freind told me about,just scared to use that paint thinner.

 

It's supposed to be the octane booster, 117 octane or something like that.

Maybe on my project car when I get it before a rebuild comes, lol.

 

i went and checked it out awhile back its a paint stripper/thinner.its highly flammable trust me i had some fun with it..chickened out putting it in my car,said stay away from contact with plastics/rubber that is what made me change my mind.

 

just like using white lightening

 

i never heard that recipe before,,paint thinner??wouldn't that mess up your power vavle???i just buy 117 octane race gas,,it cost $8.00 a gal..

 

have put kerosene in a deisel truck like a 10-1 mix...

 

yeah if its dangerous to plastics you might not have a power valve at all.$8 dollars? i thought it was like $6.00? i need some

 

For what you pay to make that batch of 100 octone you can buy prob 2 gallons of 117 race fuel... Its only $4 bux here in Redding at the track for 112.

 

i think the speed shop was higher than at the track ,the 105 was $6.00 A GAL..
