its not tough at all
and as far as i know,, you have two options
1. is shaving the calipers,, which i personally wouldnt do because i'd rather not shave anything on my car... .. (i cant imagine though that by shaving the backsides of them down, it would hurt their integrity, but dont quote me on that and come kill me if it does)
2. is to buy a spacer for the front wheels, ive been told that 3/8 is the correct size for 99-04GT's that want to use a 15" rim up front,, i dont believe that the width is going to matter,, (but then again, you ought to call a wheel manuf. hlep line or something to be certain)
