Default 65 coupe or 75 hatchback?

My son and I are looking for a project for his first car. A light body 1975 or earlier. The top candidates are a 65 coupe and a 75 hatchback. Which would make an easier project and a more driveable end product? Which would you pick to drive coast to coast?

You can't go wrong with a 65...it's a beautiful, vintage car & it will hold value a lot better than a '75.

Are you looking to do a complete resto on the project?

True on the availability on parts for the 65. you can get anything for it. Not so for the 75.

I highly recommend a 65 -68 year.
