Default Manual transmission fluid

Is it better to change the transmission fluid on a manual sooner than normal after getting a brand new car? I remember heaing to do that on a brand new car with manual transmission. If so whats a good one for a manual 2006 V6?

I have a Redline lube in my 04.Wait a couple of thousand miles before changing to give the tranny a chance to get broken in.This way when you drain the fluid you get all the break-in grindings out and put fresh clean fluid in.
BTW what did you name her???

Make sure to put in the correct fluid.
I changed my 84 GT fluid and the next day
it was almost impossible to shift. by end of
a few days it was. I went by the manual,
but I guess it was different.
