Default mountain motors

where have all the mountain motor racers gone. there was nothing like a big *** mountain motor thumping the ground and everything around it. jsut wonder what consituites a mountain motor from just a big in your books?

The last time i even heard of them was when the mercury MARAUDER was introduced again.and they were showing some of the cars heritage.All i can say is those guys were either crazy or brave or both to be hauling a** around those twists and turns on dirt and gravel.
