Has anyone ever heard of a diesel engine swap into a mustang or any other car for that matter? I am talking about a Powerstroke or soemthign, not the semi ones. Wouldnt it be sweet to see and hear that thing roaring downt eh block? a lot of potential are int hose engines.
4.6's sound better
5.0's sound better
And why do a hard engine swap. If you have that kinda money You would be better off modding the 4.6

The exhaust note from a diesel is pretty nice, quite a roar depending on the size and induction... the annoying thing is the sound that you get coming through the engine block, diesel engines do have a unique sound.

As for why to do a swap? 450 RWHP and 1200 RWTQ ... plus a large shot of nitrous and propane injection and you'll be at 600 RWHP and WELL over 1200 ft/lbs of torque (they pegged the dyno)... Was on HorsepowerTV or something recently

You simply CAN'T beat the torque of a diesel engine.

And you think it will drop right into a stang, with no work on the suspension, coputer, tranny, brakes, etc. Oh and there will probably fitting issues too.

It wouldn't be practical, like mustangman said, but it would be a very interesting project.
