I have some auto experience, but not much. I intalled an intake for my brother, change my oil, change my own brakes, air filter , and other simple tasks. Do you think, with proper clear instructions, i can manage to install my own headers and exhaust? I also have the basic tools I would need.

 

Yes, exhaust is a very simple install, but you might run into some problems with the headers. They are a pain to install.

 

why are they a pain? do i need to remove other things in order to get to the headers?

by looking at my engine, i can see some wires and things i need to move out of the way in order to get to them...seems like a pain

also, what about pulleys? are those difficult to install

 

do you have a ton of rust on the headers? if so thats gonna be a b!tch to get off since your working with such limited space.

 

i dont have any rust that i can see...the bottom is a little weathered, may have a little rust. Its a 99 GT

 

is the new header(s) long tube? if so you may have to do some cutting to get them to line up correctly.

 

there BBK shortys, it says they will fit?

 

then you shouldnt have much of a problem if any.
