Yeah my last Stang was an '86 & it was the first year of FI. Problem with it was, it had speed-density instead of mass-air sensor that year only.. & mass-air is better

I beleive they started EFI in 86, Mass Air started in 88 in California, 89 for the rest of us.

efi started in the 5.0s in 87, in the 2.3s it started in 83
