yeah chill out dude i am new to the mustang community and that one guy said "Stock 5.0s have about 150hp depending on what it comes out of. The HO engines had anywhere from 205-275hp. " now i know that there is not a difference and thanks for answering my question. What are some of you guys' favorite sites for parts that are low priced too?

 

A stock 87+ 5.0 is probably going to dyno ~180-190ish at the wheels. It was 225 at the flywheel. There are TONS of places for parts. Start w/ summitracing.com. Great prices and huge selection.

I would go with a 5.0. Sounds better. and you can't get the most hp in a fox 5.0 out of a fenderwell coldair intake. If your planning on going all out with mod's the 4.6 is probably better. the factory built it with a superchager thats got to mean something.

 

yeah but thats the 03/04 cobra, if you can afford one, get one.

but even if you can afford one, a 5.0 will give you more bang for the buck if your only goal is speed.

(I would take a cobra over a 5.0 any day, but im 16 and make min. wage )
