Default Horrible smell from heather

My car has been in storage all winter (in my garage). Within the last week I have started to use it now the weather is a little nicer. When I run the heater in the morning the car has a strong small of crap. Anyone encounter this. Smells like something is dead somewhere but I can find anything.

Thanks

Who's heather? Have you check the heater ducts? Also, are you getting any type of film on the windshield when running the defrost?

Sounds like the same thing I have! My car smells, quite frankly, like manure, and I cant figure out why... checked the cat, but apparently it is fine...

I had my car stored too an no crappy smell. I used dryer sheets and stuck them all over the place... under hood, exaust pipes. No critter dared to come close and my car smells like a spring morning.

Could be coolant leak in the heater core, but I doubt it. Something might have got in there.

Thanks guys. Very poor spelling on my part in my initial e-mail.....and I have an MBA...go figure.

I now know its not coming from the heater as the stench is mind blowing when you open the door after the car has been sitting for a few hours. I'm freaking out as this car smells like crap. I'm going to remove the seats (front and back), pull everything out of the trunk this weekend to see if there's anything there.

This has just started on Tuesday.
