Hey guys i have a few questions, i dont know how much help i can get here. first does anyone know of any good firebird forums?? Now down to biz. my cousin has a 1988 trans am gta. it has a 305 tbi motor, the other day he bought a 89 trans am gta that has a tuned port 305. what all needs to be done to put the tune port intake set up on the 88? what kind of wiring needs done? do we need the computer out of the 89?

 

Since it is the exact system & year stuff used on the Camaro; I'd google search for some GM \ Camaro forums.

I know you will need the computer and harness you are going from a TBI setup with 2 injectors to MPFI with 8 injectors. I don't know much about these cars, but I know if you are going from TBI to MPFI on any car you are going to need a harness and computer in addition to the intake, fuel rails and all the other stuff attached to the intake.

 

You'll need the puter...all wiring, all the tpi stuff(manifold, plenum, runners, injectors, TB...etc) Go to fbody.com and go to the third gen section...and like tripsevn said, thirdgen.org is good also.
