Shorter tires up front?

Shorter tires up front?
Hi guys,
I just ordered new tires and ordered 245/40/17's up front not realizing that they would be a good amount shorter then the 275/40/17's in the back, does anybody think there will be any problems with this setup?

RE: Shorter tires up front?
they are less than 1" shorter than stock
i got a 24.7 to a 25.6 for stock height
dont worry about it,,
wont do much at all, if anything, it'll give it a raked stance

RE: Shorter tires up front?
people get taller rear tires all the time,, that is why the dallas speedcal and tuners are able to calibrate for tire changes,,, so there shouldnt be any worry..
as for the TC,, i wouldnt think that changing the front tire height only would make any difference on the sensing of wheel spin or loss of traction

Well, doesn't the way TC determine if you have wheelspin by comparing front wheel RPM to rear wheel RPM? A very subtle difference, like 1", between axles probably wouldn't be enough to have it react. But I would think if someone stuck some radically huge tubbed slicks in rear & tiny bicycle wheels up front, TC would probably have a heart attack each time your drove, regardless of if traction was good or bad..(?)
And the deal with tuners adjusting for wheel size,, I think that is more to compensate so as to let your speedometer read correctly. Do tuners give you the choice to say "my front diameter is THIS & my rear diameter is THAT?" I'm not sure,, never used a tuner before.

as for the quoted text, i assume it asks your the size of the rear tires, which the diameter is computed to determine the corrections to make for the speedometer
i know that the front diameter doesnt have anything to do with the speedometer, so i cant see why it would affect the rear at all
does that seem logical? or do you know something i dont?

RE: Shorter tires up front?
i dont think it would be anything....
wheel spin is wheel spin, therefore TC kicks in...
i may be wrong, but i cant see any reasons the computer would be affected
