Default brake problem

i am basically replacing the full brake setup on my 86. the guy who i bought it from cut the rear brake lines? why would someone do that. anyways i have completely replaced everything on the car: all the brake lines, hoses, calipers, complete drum rebuild, everything is new... there is one peice left to fix. i'll post a pic as soon as possible. i checked napa, advance, autozone. they couldn't get the part. then i checked ford. ford DISCONTINUED the part. they said that the only year that had the part was on the 86 g/t. the only way to get the part is a junkyard. next problem...junkyard in my town does not have older mustangs...any advice anyone? the only thing keeping this car off the road is this one piece. if anyone in the forum is near NC and knows someone with a junked 86 g/t or a junk yard your for sure has the part let me know. i'm willing to travel a bit to get what i need or pay someone for the part and get them to mail it to me.

You could try these guys. The parts are a little high, but if you need it you need it.

I got to thinkin' about this question last night, and it hit me that the guy probably did it to drag race. That is he cut the rear brake lines so only the front brakes worked when he did a burnout. Lotta guys in Louisiana would do that if they were too cheap or lazy to put a switch in.
