Default Short throw shifter.

I'm looking to get a shifter for my '04 GT. I've been thinking about the Hurst billet plus. Anyone have any experience with this shifter? Is this a good choice or or is there a different shifter you would recommend? Thanks.

I have a PRO 50 short throw shifter and I love it. I have no experience with others.

Pro 5.0 or Steeda Tri-axe....both are good.

I say Steeda Tri-Ax....I've seen reviews in which it beat out the Pro 5.0s and others.

whats the point in a new shifter?
is it just like a smaller area to get it in gear?
and they ok for daily driving?

ooo just looked it up
really help from missing third?
hate that when im accelerating nice n quick
miss third i quickly press back in clutch to hear a nice rev like i was showing off or something

how hard are they to install?

They do help quite a bit. Steeda Tri Ax takes around an hour to an hour and a half depending on your knowledge. They're actually better for a daily driver car IMO.

Also, how do I find out which model transmission I have so that I order the correct shifter? Thanks to all of you for your help.

Sorry dude, if you don't know that or how to look it up, you shouldn't be driving it
