Default Install cost?

I have my 4.10s, the speedo recalibration unit and gear oil already. I talked to a shop a friend's friend run and they quoted me an installation price of 350 for the gears. IS that high or about right?

Thanks for the reply. I will go shop around some more. Is swapping gears easy for a shop to do but just time consuming? If it is diffcult I will just pay the higher price because I hear this guy is good but if it is not all that difficult I will shop around for a better price

that price seem a bit high, but installing gears and setting them up correctly ain't all that easy to do, so if you can get a couple more good recommendations about this guy, I would go for it with him. you definitely want someone who knows what the hell he's doing to set them up for you!

Getting mine put in for 150$. He should know what he's doing as he does have a 700+rwhp Fox body.

But yes your quote is very very high. Most people around here want around 200$ or 225$.

I agree with everyone else. That price is alittle high. I wouldn't pay more than $300...

Yeah, $200-$250 should be the norm for about 4-5 hours of work.

I found another possibility. A guy at work had his gears swapped by his friend twice in his cutlass aso he said he will call the guy up and get a price from him which was around 200 last time he did it for him.
