I don't have a Mustang but I love that stamped back bumper and have a question. I notice some Mustangs have the letters painted (very cool) and others don't. Is the painted letters a factor option or do you guys have to take the car to a body shop and have the letters painted?

 

its not a factory option. someone could get them painted by a body shop but they are probably just vinyl decals that you can buy and put in. ive got "stainless steel" vinyl inserts and love em.

 

yea you can get vinyl decals for like 5 or 10 bucks. or he stainless steel letters for like 60 or 70 bucks. i got my stainless steel ones for about 30 though

Its usually not paint its vinyl inserts. I have the black vinyl lettering that I bought on ebay for 5 bucks. They were very easy to install (in about 5 minutes) and add a nice touch to the rear.

yeah, one of the few awesome but cheap mods you can do to a mustang and help its appearance a lot. Ebay has a ton of listings for them. I have a white and black theme going on mine and the black letters stick out and look so cool- MUSTANG GT

 

Most of the time they are vinyl or the stainless steel. I've never seen anyone paint them, its MUCH cheaper to do the inserts.

I have reflective silver ones that match my racing stripes.

 

they are a must.....they look amazing
