Tuner to Disable PATS
Anyone know which tuner is the best? Does any of them turn of the PATS? Looking to disable the PATS in order to put a lightning motor in a 94 GT. I will be using a 96+ wiring harness.
Thanks

RE: Tuner to Disable PATS
I am putting a Lightning motor in a 94 GT. I am going to use a 96+ Wiring harness. I want to remove the PATS from the system. That way I do not have to have any of the supporting hardware to fire the vehicle.

Have not decided, I have both available. I have read that either will work, not sure what the pitfalls will be with each. If you have any idea on what they would be, I am all ears.
You can see the car we are going to the put it in at http://www.motorheadshaven.com/1994%20Mustang%20Yellow/ we started to use a windsor motor we built, it is stroked to 427W, etc. But we decided to got with the late model driveline to make a vehicle that would not be so violent to drive on the street.

I would in stall the ecm that goes with the motor.Only because It will eliminate Any other problems and It is familure eith that engine.as far as the pats goes.If you have the key that went with the lightning engine(i asume you don't).You can remove the chip from the key.on top of the key there is a little rectangle. you can pry this off and in there is the chip for the pats.now take the chip and you can place it in the collum near the ignition.I know this because this is what they do for remote starts.
