RE: BBK mid pipe
Because it was too raspy for me.. I threw away the box from Summit and its too big to try and find replacement.. I paid over $200 but willing to let it go for $125 just to get rid of it.. Problem is again the box, without it I really can't ship it because its so big.. Would rather pick up only..

RE: BBK mid pipe
ive got their mid pipe and love it. It growls and snarls and low rpm and then gets pretty raspy higher up but it sounds great. I get compliments everywhere i go, and i just run them with flowmasters and flowmasters arent even my favorite exhaust. I say go ahead and do it man, you cant go wrong.

go with a different brand. bbk is raspy as all hell, and the quality is absolutely tragic. it looks like blind retarded monkeys do their welding. at least that's how my x pipe looked. imo, you can't go wrong with another brand's midpipe.

I have a BBk w/ cats on my 91 5.0 vert. I think it sounds great. There was no issue with the quality of my unit. Sounds deep and mean at idle, and roars at highway speeds. Would buy again.

RE: BBK mid pipe
i have bbk shorties and x pipe, o/r of course. my favorite sound is true dual exhaust, but due to the increase in power you get when you join the pipes, i live with the sound mine makes. i never ride past a car person without them looking, so it must not be that bad. i have flows, too.
by way of example, i was at the store the other day, a couple of dudes jumped and said "whoa" when i started my car because of the sound.
