seats
it's not easy to do, but you can move the seat brackets back some to get more leg room. you will have to unbolt the seat brackets, one bolt/nut at each corner, and see if you can move them back some without running into a problem with any wiring to the seat not being long enough to reach. you can always splice in some extra wiring if this is the case. other problem might be keeping the seat bottom geometry the same. I know on my 88 the front of the seat brackets are mounted higher than the rear. if yours are the same way, you will need to add a thick shim plate under the front of the brackets. you also need to be very careful about looking underneath so if you drill new holes for the seat mounting bolts you don't drill into anything important that might be running under this area. you also need to use some 2" diameter washers made of 1/8" thick steel on both sides of the floor to reinforce the new holes so the brackets don't pull out in the case of an accident and let the seat move around. use double nuts on the bottom so they can't work loose too. don't try to drill through the carpet either, this will just pull material out of the carpet and wrap it around the drill bit and it's a pain in the *** to get the drill bit back out when you do this. other than that, it's a piece of cake!
Here you go, I found it, too much time on my hands
