Well fuel is a toss up really... gas tank is on the rear axle whick will give you some good traction, but then again its weight. So really depends on your car and the way you drive it.

Well I looked at the car and his time ticket and the ticket didnt lie. I watched him run. Maybe he has done a little more than he said but the car didnt cound like anything out of the ordinary.

Ya, I'm not saying he didn't run a 12.1, just not with only a 100 shot.

My car is a five speed. I was power shifting the car into second and third but I wasn't about to produce a 100 mph trap speed. 2.0 60 ft was what I got with some wheel spin. I was hoping to match 14.0 flat that was achieved in Road and Track 1999. Anyway I think my next step is to put K/N on it or another type of air filter. As for NOS I'm not too interested. I was able to run this time with about a 1/4 tank of gas and all my factory installed equipment in the car. I've heard of these cars running 13.7 stock and I've seen one run 13.8 with 275 street tires.

A 100 shot on a stock 99+ GT is fine. Plenty of people that have been/are on this board run a 100 shot stock.

Im planning on a 75 shot soon, probably sometime after the summer. Only reason im going 75 and not 100 is because I want absolutly no chances.

Engine work is great, and so are superchargers, and just as soon as I only have one hobby (my car) I'll have one, but untill that day comes (or I win the lottery) it just isnt finacially viable.

4 grand will get you one hell of a home A/V setup, a pretty nice remodled room in the house, or a computer and a ****load of software.

I'd have to agree with 2000GT4.6.

Weird, the fastest I've seen or heard one going thus far is 13.13 or thereabouts, from Evan Smith at Englishtown. That track must be perfect or something, they had a stock LS1 run nearly 13 flat.....it was an f'in auto too.

Ive seen an Automatic Trans AM WS6 run a 12.8 in the quarter. He didnt have any real upgrades. Just an aftermarket hood without baffels in the hood and a K&N filter set up. He was fast as hell.

Damn. I've read about them running 12's off the showroom floor but just couldn't believe that a magazine would actually publish that a bone stock LS1 ran 13 flat. A Mustang magazine nonetheless. Evan Smith was driving it too.
